Since the Second Vatican Counsel of 1962-1965 the emphasis to appease protestants was to make the Mass a "Eucharistic celebration" rather then it being the Sacrifice of Christ on the cross offered to God for the Salvation of sinners. Catholic theology maintains that the Mass is not an act wherein which we "re-crucify Christ" over and over again. No! The Event happened once and for all at Calvary..The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is a re-Presentation of that very same Sacrifice that Christ made on the cross each time it is celebrated. This is a very crucial distinction. Christ forever offers Himself as the One Eternal High Priest as Sacrifice for us here on earth .The sacrifice on our Catholic Altars is not a symbolic act but a reality which presents Jesus to us in True, Definite, and Sacramental Form. The reality is that Christ. is present:: Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity! Obviously, Cramer and the other protestant reformers refused to see it this way.

In the Divine liturgy of the holy Catholic Church of Antioch be read: "We asked you Lord to command Thy Holy Angel to bear my oblation to Thy Altar on high, there be offered by Him who as the Eternal High Priest forever offers himself for the Salvation world."
To make it even more insidious, the reformers in a spirit of "ecumenicism" minimized references to Mary, the Holy Mother of God and the angels and saints. They were hoping for us to abandon our Holy Catholic Faith. Look at the new confetior. It is a watered down version of the original of the Tridentine Mass with an an admission of both our sin and guilt.
The New Mass allows the priest to say the confetior with the rest of the congregation. This format takes the priest out of his role as celebrant of the Mass and places him as only a presidor of the Eucharistic Celebration, not as celebrant of it.
Also, by the priest facing the people, it distracts from the reverence, awe, and mystery of the Liturgy making the priest a "group gatherer." The Traditional Format allows room for us to "go unto the Altar of God and asking God for forgiveness by acknowledging our need for repentance.
The New Order Mass additionally removed the blessing by the priest after the conftior when he used to say, "... may the Lord release and liberate you from every darkness, error, sin and and grant you the Grace and Comfort of His Holy Spirit".
It must also be noted here that thie this blessing does not take the place of the blessing received by the priest in Sacramental Confession. This blessing is meant to place our hearts and minds in the Presence of God so that we can worthy celebrate the Mass.
